Finance Manager - Controlling & Operations

Salary: HUF 1.600,000 - 1.900,000 gross (depending on experience)

Working time: 5 days, 40h/w

Location: Budapest (70-80%) and Tököl (20-30%)

What you will do:

Financial Management & Controlling

• Own the full P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow management for the Hungarian entity (Zippsafe Hungary Kft.  
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes; prepare management reporting packages for the Swiss parent company 
• Develop and maintain a robust cost accounting system covering direct and indirect manufacturing costs, overhead allocation, and variance analysis
• Build and drive annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and scenario modelling in close collaboration with the local Managing Director and Head of Finance at HQ
• Monitor KPIs (COGS, gross margin, inventory turns, working capital) and proactively flag deviations with actionable recommendations
• Ensure full statutory compliance with Hungarian GAAP (HAS) and support group-level reporting requirements in close coordination with the external accounting agency 
• Manage and develop one direct report in Finance while partnering closely with Operations

Supply Chain & Operational Finance

• Act as a finance business partner to the production team in Tököl: track and analyse manufacturing costs, labour efficiency, material usage, and overhead absorption
• Own inventory valuation, cycle count reconciliation, and obsolescence provisions
• Support procurement with supplier cost analysis, make-vs-buy decisions, and landed cost modelling
• Drive working capital optimisation across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory
• Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities across the supply chain without compromising quality or delivery performance

ERP & Process Development

• Serve as the finance lead for the ERP system (Odoo), ensuring master data integrity, process automation, and accurate financial integration
• Continuously improve finance processes, controls, and reporting infrastructure to support the company's growth trajectory
• Collaborate with the Swiss HQ finance team on consolidation, intercompany transactions, and group treasury matters

What you bring to Zippsafe.

• Master's degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Controlling, Business Administration, Business Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related field
• 5 - 8 years of progressive finance experience, with a significant portion in manufacturing companies, production environments, or hardware/product scale-ups
• Proven track record in cost accounting, production controlling, or supply chain finance. You understand how physical goods flow and how costs accumulate
• Experience with ERP systems (any major platform); solid understanding of inventory management and production order workflows
• Native Hungarian & proficiency in English (working language with HQ and international teams)
• High degree of ownership, structured thinking, and the ability to work precisely, independently, in a lean team environment
