V2.4.0: New Features for Seamless Management
The latest feature of ZippManager version 2.4.0 provides greater transparency by offering insight into free mode systems. This gives administrators comprehensive, reliable, centralized access to check the status of systems running in both personal and free modes.
What does this mean for you?
In free mode, our flexible approach allows users to select unit assignments directly in the system, meaning anyone can take on any available unit. In the latest version, these self-assignments are seamlessly synchronised with ZippManager!
A comprehensive overview of the units' mode
The system mode option has been added to the table in the unit overview. You can now get an overview whatever it is a free or personal mode system. You can conveniently filter and sort the mode using the new filter option.
As an administrator, you cannot allocate users to free-mode systems. However, you can now see which users are assigned to a tag. Hovering over «Assigned users (ID)» will display the name of the tag.
Important: Users who are not registered in ZippManager or assigned to a tag will be listed as an «Unknown user». Only new self-assignments are visible in ZippManager. A system that has already been used with existing assignments does not report the assignments made before the update. It takes a while for ZippManager to be updated with the assignments.
Filter and edit users
A new filter function has been added to the user overview. You can now filter by the number of assigned units per user for a clearer view.
When editing users who use free mode, the units cannot be removed by the user.
Source of tags is now visible
The source of the tag has now been added to the tag overview. Previously, it was not possible to assign captured tags to a source. You can now filter them by:
- Admin created:
The tag was entered manually by the admin in ZippManager. -
Synced:
The tag was automatically generated from the company's database. -
Imported:
The tag was created by importing a CSV file. -
Unknown:
If a tag is labelled as «Unknown», it was created prior to the release of version 2.4.0. - Auto created:
The tag was created by a free mode system. When a person assigns themselves to a unit using their tag, it is automatically listed in ZippManager, allowing admins to track it
The new «Source» column allows you to identify tags that have been generated automatically through free mode systems and link them to existing users in ZippManager. This feature makes it easier to identify automatically generated tags and link them to existing users in ZippManager.
Note: The system mode cannot be changed if there are existing unit assignments. However, if there are no units actively occupied in the system, the mode can be changed from free to personal, or vice versa.
